Merrick Winter is a British-American songwriter based in London, bridging contemporary folk-rock with the classic American songbook. Blending the lyricism of Paul Simon with the intimacy of Elliott Smith, his intricate guitar work and cinematic storytelling have earned him a devoted transatlantic following. Following the release of The California Zephyr (2025), Winter supported Bastille and half·alive across UK and European tours, alongside dates with Dan Mangan and Tyler Ballgame. Live highlights include Roundhouse London and O2 Ritz Manchester.

An official SXSW ’26 showcasing artist, Winter has also appeared at AmericanaFest and Folk Alliance International (Montreal and New Orleans) with British Underground, positioning him for his debut solo album rollout. He is signed to Believe Music Publishing, distributed by Tone Tree Nashville, and represented by Greater Goods (LA) for sync. He has collaborated with iconic folk artists Like Molly Parden and Lau Noah, with his catalogue has generating 5 million streams, plus strong editorial support from Apple Music. He has had placements in 2025 including the feature film Almost Popular (Prime) and an international L’Oréal campaign.
